Unexpectedly, Optimus Prime and his remaining gang turn to a mechanic and his daughter for help. But it turns out that they are aided by another alien robot who is searching for Optimus Prime. Did a real human being write this? This is a good addition to the Transformers series. The story was okay but the storytelling was flawed somehow. After the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons that leveled Chicago, humanity thinks that all alien robots are a threat. Nonetheless, I could barely stomach this horrid piece of celluloid.

I just feel like they must be disappointed by how it finally turned out. Highlights were the few times Mark Wahlberg delivered a line that you actually felt he put some meaning behind and I like Mark Wahlberg, but it seemed like his heart wasn't in this at all , and then, of course, John Goodman's voice overs.
I forced myself to keep watching it. The storyline is abysmal and does not follow the original series. It would be nice to see some sort of characters developed for the transformers. Because they are created as one dimensional punchlines there is no possibility to have any interesting story that involves the transformers interacting with each other. Transformers 4 was started four years after the battle of Los Angeles in the previous Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Because of this, Optimus has since lost his faith in humanity after the ambush that caused his injury and even considers leaving the planet until Cade Yeager, a mechanic, convinces him to reconsider his faith in humanity after helping him slightly recover.

The whole premise of the movie, I thought, was these dinosaur transformers which had their only 15 minutes of fame at the end of the movie. He even kills humans which is counter to his character entirely.
But it turns out that they are aided by another alien robot who is searching for Optimus Prime. Probably should give it two stars but I'm trying not to be too harsh. .
