The 2011 and newer models were not tested. The related Mazda service bulletin recommends replacing the sensor with an updated part. Drive about five minutes down the road and notice I have no heat. They say that the excessive sludge in my engine is my fault, and I need to produce 3yrs worth of proof of oil changes. Thank goodness it died at work in my parking lot.
I cannot drive the car. Mazda has to do something about this this is unexceptable. I work for a law firm that leads in Class Actions — I am sending all this information to our Consumer Fraud Unit!!! I contacted my dealer and they use Firestone to do their work. During the test drive, see if the car holds a straight line well and doesn't pull to one side or another. They were shocked that my claim was denied by my extended warranty and by mazda! I have an appointment with a Mazda dealership to have it looked at.
First thing they said to my husband is that there would be a diagnostic fee! After explaining the symptoms I was told the following. The extended warranty, from what I understand, is useless in these cases. This letter leads me to believe they knew there were issues with the timing chain. They reprogramed it and it lasted for 20,000 miles again. The contact received a call from the manufacturer informing her that the engine replacement was not covered under the vehicle's warranty. They did not inform me of this when the car was in for the check engine light.
I would really like to know if there is anything, that can be done as of today, and would really appreciate any help. I am on my 2nd air conditioning compressor, and Mazda will not honor the letter they sent me in 2010 for replacement. I am in Ontario Canada…is there a lawsuit here? Coming back from the hospital this week, her turbo went out. Once driven, vehicle had no power and had troubles getting to hwy speed. Mazda says they mailed me the bulletins. To have it checked out. We just picked up the car and now need to figure out what to do next! I assumed it was another decent car like a Honda or a Toyota, both of which we have had good luck with. It just clicked and clicked and light flickered. I even called the dealership and was put on hold for an hour before someone just hung up on me. My airbag was replaced due to the recall and my car has never been the same. That is a low bid for the car under any circumstances. Oh and did I mention once I started taking it to the dealership for oil changes I had to go back each time to get something they failed to put back in or on….
At 37,000 miles, vehicle was started in 20deg F. The Good Oil and Maintenance Intervals Engine sludge build up and possibly overheating appear to be a major contributing factor in turbocharger deterioration and failure. Not safe and sad to think someone will have to die before this is addressed. Trying to dump the car but owe more than it is worth. Why punished the consumers when Mazda put faulty parts in their vehicles. I brought my car in for an oil change and to have the check engine light checked out. The turbo appears not to be the only major weakness of the petrol 2.
Of course it has a bad timing chain and turbo; I will take a total loss on this car. There is no way on gods green earth that I will ever buy another mazda or ford since ford owns mazda. Because I am, as I watch the money bleed out of my account. He also said when he looked under the hood, it seems like half of my car parts are new as if the former owner replaced these parts already. Now my timing chain is going out at 96,000 miles. I left our home and went to Florida for the winter because of all the sad memories of him being on hospice and dieing at home.
. In December of 2015 as I was going to work the car shut off right in the middle of the express way. There was a recall for lower control arms issued in 2016. Anyone else keeping track of this? I believe this to be fraudulent. I am without a car, alone in Florida with no family.
